Dr Scott Powell

Dr. Scott Powell, MD

Is a graduate of UTMB medical school.  He did a five-year surgical residency at the University of Florida, and is a board certified general surgeon.  He has practiced in Texas since 2003, and since 2011 has specialized in the treatment of venous disorders.  

He is one of the most experienced physicians in Texas that treats venous disease.  He was one of the first in DFW to use VenasealTM (a new super glue for veins), and he is still one of the few to offer this service.  Dr. Powell has taught colleges and peers about venous disease in national conferences and has served as a physician trainer.  If you are looking for an expert in venous disease, look no further. 

Dr Justin Patten

Justin Patten, MPAS, PA-C 

Is a graduate of Texas A&M University and UNT Health Science Center where he earned a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.  Since graduating in 2014, he has specialized in orthopedic pain management and, more importantly, the treatment of venous insufficiency.  

In early 2017, he joined Texas Vein Experts.  Since then Justin has immersed himself in the world of venous disease and has quickly become one of the more experienced PA’s in north Texas who treat venous disease.  He gives full focus and attention to his patients and their outcomes are incredible.  

Samantha Steinis, MPAS, PA-C

Samantha has been working as a Physician Assistant since 2014.  She graduated from the University of Charleston, WV in 2013.  Samantha has clinical experience ranging from acute care to chronic disabilities.  She has worked in rural and urban areas and has a passion for underserved populations.  Following her desire to perform more procedures and improve patients’ lives, she joined Texas Vein Experts in 2019 and manages pre-op and post-op patient care.  She is currently training to become a registered vascular technician.  In her free time, Samantha enjoys reading and finding new trails to explore with her dogs.
